K & P Contracting Ltd. located in Flatrock, NL, has an immediate opening for a full time Office Assistant. Monday - Friday, 8:30-4:30

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for a wide variety of clerical office duties in support of Company Senior Administration in a busy environment. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

A minimum of 3  years of direct work experience in an Administrative/Office Assistant capacity. 

A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Self-starter and self-learning skills.

Excellent time management skills; the ability to prioritize work and to multi-task.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Intermediate knowledge of Corel WordPerfect and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Manage K & P’s social media and marketing (Facebook, K & P website); create signs and ads for marketing purposes.

Assist Project Manager with ongoing projects, including client selections, inventory management.

Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files in their proper locations.

Answer the telephone, handle general enquiries and direct calls to the appropriate contact within the Company.

Update and maintain office Safety Policies and Procedures; knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Regulations would be an asset. 

Coordination and scheduling of training courses.

Organize and schedule appointments.

Ensure daily housekeeping duties are performed to keep the office in a clean and functional condition.
