K & P is fully committed to the professional industry. Their philosophy is the more you put into the industry, the more you can take out. With this philosophy in mind, they keep abreast of changes as they occur locally and nationally.

One way of doing this is through membership in various industry related associations. K & P has been a member of the Eastern Newfoundland Home Builders Association (now the Canadian Home Builders Association Eastern Newfoundland) since 1980. Both Jack and Francis have held executive positions and both are still active in this organization.

K & P is an active member of the Canadian Home Builders Association, and in particular the R-2000 Project. The R-2000 program is a special project of the CHBA, and we have actively participated since it was formed. Jack served as a Newfoundland representative on the national board 1986 -1989. K & P is a registered R-2000 builder, in fact K & P was the first registered R-2000 builder in Newfoundland, (F-00001). At present, Jack is serving as the chair of the R-2000 program in Newfoundland and Labrador.

K & P joined the Atlantic Home Warranty Program in 1980. Jack has served on the Board of Directors for 9 years, 6 years as an executive member.

Jack has also served as Chairman of the Board of National Energy Conservation Association, head office in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

K & P was a charter member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Newfoundland & Labrador Construction Safety Association. Jack is presently serving as an executive member with the association. K & P has a Certificate of Recognition from NLCSA.

Jack is a charter member of Newfoundland & Labrador Chapter of Project Management Institute. Jack is presently serving as Treasurer on the Board of Directors.
