This past year we were faced with making a choice as to which of three building companies we should choose to build our house in Newfoundland. For a number of different reasons, we chose K & P Contracting.

From start to finish, K & P Contracting proved to be professional, competent and service-oriented. Our house is a custom-built home which is more complex in all the details and requires more time and attention than a standard home. Also, we live in Toronto and were not on site to facilitate the many decisions that crop up throughout the building. Nonetheless, K & P Contracting succeeded in completing the job in the promised time.

We requested many unusual features, such as a basswood sloped ceiling, nonstandard trim and baseboards, custom-made shelving and wrap around veranda. All of these were executed with excellent workmanship and in good time. The house is R-2000 and we have had the pleasure of experiencing a damp-free, draft-free house. K & P are experts at building R-2000 homes.

Service was of utmost importance to us due to the fact that we live in Toronto and were not on site. Communication had to be excellent and we had to trust them that they were doing the work according to our requests. Having spent a winter in constant communication with John Callahan, overcoming the hurdles and ironing out the problems, we can honestly say that we could not have had better service. Being in business ourselves in Toronto, we appreciate an excellent company such as K & P.
